{DIY} Command Center Bulletin Board

Another DIY project I had a blast making for a client for their newly made over kitchen. (Post coming tomorrow on the kitchen makeover!) This was an easy and inexpensive project that can really freshen up and help organize a space.

The inspiration photo:

We decided to use fabric instead of painting the plywood because I knew I wouldn’t like the unfinished texture of the plywood in the kitchen.

These were the fabrics we were deciding between:

Have the plywood cut to size at the local home improvement store in your area. This saves a huge hassle for you when you get home!

I added some very thin batting under the fabric to give the board a slight cushion.

I then laid the fabric directly over the batting making sure there were a couple of inches of fabric hanging over the board on all sides.

Flip the board over so you are working from the back and start folding the fabric and batting over and securing with a staple gun.

The corners are the trickiest part. Folding the corner of the fabric in first and then the sides seemed to work the best.

The finished product. All you need to do now is add the hanging hooks to the back.

All you need to do now is decide on the organizing accessories you want to use!
