The Most Pinteresting Thing of the Week

Our Top Pins of the Week

It has been a while since we have shared what we have been inspired by on Pinterest. We love following other Bloggers and Interior Designers to see what inspires them.

How We Use Pinterest For Our Business

Pinterest is an amazing tool for us to work with clients. In addition to finding inspiration for projects, we use the website as a filing system for each client. Our Pinterest boards are pulled up in almost every meeting we have. We pin images not only because they are beautiful, but also to show examples of design details that might be hard to communicate verbally.

Our Highland Parkway House with Copper Creek is one of the most popular images on Instagram and Pinterest, and we are constantly getting asked the color. {It is Benjamin Moore Hale Navy with Simply White trim!} We are always on the hunt for beautiful paint colors and this navy, Benjamin Moore Polo Blue, might be our new favorite navy paint color! The simpleness of this barn with the bold navy color exterior has our hearts swooning.

With all of the new construction homes we work on, we are always looking for ways to add more unique details. It’s becoming more and more important to us that our projects have a lived in feel, something that makes the new home feel like it has been there for years. These arched doors into a beautifully simple bathroom is just that. It adds history to the home, something different then what you see everyday. These doors are definitely in our “must use” file.

Barstools are one of the most important pieces of a kitchen. They can make or break a space, and finding a piece that balances the space, either tones down a high contrast kitchen or adds contrast to a monochromatic space, is one of our priorities when selecting barstools. The way these stools add weight to an otherwise light space, and balance the darkness of the fixture and countertops is exactly what we try to do in our designs.

These days, laundry rooms are getting more and more attention from our clients. These spaces can become a little hidden gem in the home, and lets be honest… there aren’t a lot of people who enjoy doing laundry! So why not make the space beautiful to make the chore a little more tolerable? The backsplash detail behind this farmhouse sink is stunning. We also love the cut out diamonds on the tall cabinet doors. Not a detail was missed in this space!

We are getting more and more requests for custom kid spaces. Clients are really enjoying creating special places in their home for their children, and installing built in bunk beds for them and their friends is the perfect touch! We are loving on this pale blue cabinet with the herringbone carpet adding a touch of sophistication.

Are you seeing a theme here? Colored cabinets are all the rage right now and this image, originally shared on Instagram, was a huge hit on our feed! The designer hit the mark keeping all other finishes neutral to let the color shine in this laundry room.

It’s gardening season here in Minnesota. The flower shops are packed every weekend as we all race to get our flowers planted before the bitter cold comes oh to soon. We have been noticing a lot more landscaping pictures being pinned right now. We can’t help but love the crisp clean lines of this landscape design!
