The Monthly Edit: July

We are starting a new series this month called the Monthly Edit. Everyday we come across new product, killer deals, or new ideas that we want to share with all of our followers. We have decided to create a curated monthly collection of our favorite finds so you can have a go to place to find new, beautiful pieces for fashion, home decor, and your family. Follow our blog on Bloglovin’ so you don’t miss out on all these great new posts!

July’s Monthly Edit

  1. We were in Chicago last month and came across the most adorable restaurant… The Hampton Social. If you are in the area its a must visit! Give me anything in the Midwest that makes you feel like you are near the ocean. To top it off- being decked out in East Coast style, well lets just say Katie and I were in Heaven!
  2. Do you ever plan a special trip, to another part of the country or world, and want to nail it on your outfits each day? There is something about feeling like a local when you travel isn’t there? I came across this website recently and if you are ever traveling to Europe, this is where you should shop for your trip. Matchesfashion.com is a London based retailer now selling worldwide {they even have a sale code for free shipping and returns for the US: USAFREE} It’s definitely a higher end collection of fashion, but for those special pieces, its definitely the place to shop!
  3. As most of you know we added a new member to our family, Hunter. He’s now almost 5 months old and already 45 lbs! He is going to be a big boy, and we are flying through all of our puppy accessories and transitioning into big dog necessities. I stumbled across these adorable pet accessories from Pottery Barn and ordered him this bed and these dog bowls this week! I’ve heard that big dogs do better when their bowls are elevated when they inhale {definitely no chewing involved during this big boys meals}

  4. I think I found my new favorite tote. Big enough to use at the Farmer’s Market, but oh so cute for everyday wear too! When I’m not loving how I feel in clothes, I love investing in pretty bags and shoes, they look good no matter what 😉
  5. We look for any excuse to be outside during these short summer months, so having different activities while we entertain that allows us to stay out just a little longer is a big plus for me! How adorable is this Mark and Graham Bocce Ball set and this Bean Bag toss game? Fun and adorable? Win win for us!
  6. We have been sharing our obsession with stripes over the past few months… why it took me so long to really dive into Mark D. Sikes new store, MDS Stripes, is beyond me! I have to say he is probably my favorite designer out there right now. You know, the one I’d pick if I was going to hire a designer for myself? Well like his interior design skills, his fashion design is just as fabulous!
  7. I’ve been pinning all sorts of delicious looking recipes to our Recipes board on Pinterest. How delicious do these “Drunken Strawberries” look? Don’t forget to follow us on Pinterest to see all of our latest pins! Another favorite is our Tried and True Recipes. When I’ve tried a recipe on our Recipes board, and its amazing, we move it to this board so we always have a go to place for great recipes!
  8. Do you guys follow Camille Styles blog? I’ve been following these ladies for a while and am always inspired by their beautiful photography, creative recipes, and great sources for decor, fashion, and travel. While reading my daily blog roll on Bloglovin’, I found out they are starting a new travel series where they share their insiders tips on traveling to amazing destinations… probably one of my favorite types of blog posts to read! {We have a travel guide to share with you soon too!} First up, of course, Tuscany. The epitome of travel posts, they have an entire website dedicated to the destination! Definitely a must read.
  9. Speaking of travel… hot on my list, Charleston. I was there as a young girl, but I’d love to visit again as an adult, especially once I saw this Bed & Breakfast, 86 Cannon. 86 Cannon is a fully renovated 1860’s 3 story house, with king size beds and marble bathrooms, nestled into the heart of Charleston. They have the most adorable instagram account, bikes available for its guests, and European-style continental breakfasts. This place is on our must visit list this coming year!
  10. If you follow us on Instagram you have probably caught onto our favorite new wallpaper vendor, Hygge and West. We used it in my mudroom, the Evergreen Knolls House, and the Shady Beach Trail House. Our installers love the quality of the paper, and we love the variety of patterns and colors they offer!

    Thanks for following along on our first Monthly Edit. We would love to hear what you would love to learn more about! Travel, interiors sources, food, fashion…. a little of it all 😉
