Kid’s Valentine’s Day Treats | Bria Hammel Interiors

If you are not into store bought Valentine’s, we’re with you. While we understand the easiness of picking up a pack of Disney cards from the drugstore (we won’t lie, we’ve done it!), nothing says, “I love you” more than something homemade. With that being said, you don’t have to spend hours and hours creating the perfect gift.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, we’ve been brainstorming ideas for treats that our children could bring to school. We wanted something homemade and unique but also doable for busy parents like us. We came up with these three different treats and the best part? They all require no baking!

Brooke and Lou always love a fun project, so convincing them to help me out in the kitchen is always easy. Especially when I mentioned that it would involve candy 😉 This past week, they were home early (coming from a dentist appointment ironically) so we spent the rest of the afternoon mixing up these easy, yummy, Valentines together.

M&M Mason Jar Gift

This was the perfect project for the kids to help with. The “recipe” calls for a single ingredient and they filled all the jars themselves. A few of the M&M’s may have ended up in their tummies during the process…

Add a cute tag, and if your kids are old enough they could sign their names. Tie the jar with a ribbon, and you are all set!

Heart Shaped Rice Krispie Treats

This one is always a crowed-pleaser, but these Rice Krispie treats just got a whole lot cuter with the addition of a heart shaped cookie cutter. You can add pink food coloring to the marshmallows for an extra touch. Or you can dip them in pink candy melts for an extra sugar rush like we did. This makes a sweet treat for a Valentines Day Party too!

S’more Kit

All you need for this one is a clear cellophane bag, gram crackers, mini chocolate bars, and s’more marshmallows. We love these s’mores kits for making s’mores at home or even just snacking on the ingredients. We also created these darling little tags to attach which you can download and print off here.
