Spring into Home

Last year on the blog we launched a series called Spring into Home where I shared home tours, life updates, and inspiration from some of my very talented friends and fellow Instagramers! Because we had so much fun doing it, we decided to make it an annual thing and I am so excited to share with you this year’s update!

Doreen Corrigan

Doreen is a Blogger/Instagramer who never ceases to provide me with everyday inspiration! Her feminine and effortless style always catches my eye. We shared her home tour last spring here, but her and her family have made some wonderful updates to their home since then.

Doreen updated both her master bedroom (below) and guest bedroom (above) and I’m loving so many about each space! While they are both beautifully bright and cozy, they each have their own unique tone.

For their guest bedroom, they went with a coastal casual theme and it’s the everything you could ever want for your guests when they visit. So inviting and relaxing! While the coastal theme is popular, I love that Doreen didn’t go too literal and executed it in her own special way. Also, how good is that rattan headboard?!

As a fellow mama, I can understand the importance of having master bedroom that is a calming oasis to escape to at the end of a long day. Doreen’s space is just that.

Doreen’s home is the perfect reflection of her style. Head on over to her blog to see more – you won’t regret it!

Claire Staszak {Centered by Design}

Next up is Claire Staszak’s gorgeous home in the Chicago suburbs. I met Claire years ago at a Design Blogger’s Conference and we were fast friends. She has such unique, individual style that’s really inspiring and I always love to see what she stirs up. Last year, we shared Claire’s home tour  and this year there has been a big change in Claire’s life and home… a beautiful baby girl!

This nursery! How cute, right?! They renovated their attic for this nursery (see more of her attic bedroom ideas here) and it is the perfect mix of quirky but still extremely livable and comfortable.  My favorite detail is the canopy over the crib. She used the attic’s sloped ceiling to create this canopy effect and it added the right amount of softness to the area. So genius!

It’s so rewarding to see a designer’s personal home and the thought they put into it. I am so excited for her and their new addition to their family and this is such a perfect space for a little girl. Congratulations again Claire!

Meredith Rodday {View From My Heels}

As you may have seen last year, Meredith’s home is BEYOND beautiful. It’s the perfect mix of coastal, modern and fresh. I have been following Meredith for years and every time she posts on Instagram, I immediately know it’s hers. Everything she posts is always so bright, airy, and gives me major inspiration!

The one thing that I love about Meredith is that she completely understands how long it can take to turn a house in a home. She has worked so hard over the past 5 years to make their home one that fits their families personalities and lifestyle. I love that she didn’t rush herself, and took her time to make their place exactly what they’ve dreamed of.

In last years post, Meredith had mentioned that one room she hadn’t completed yet was her laundry room. This Spring, she wrapped up this space and we loved the way it turned out!

So many wonderful details in this room that it kind of makes me thinks that laundry can be fun… right? 😉

Brynn Olson {Brynn Olson Design Group}

Not too far from us, Chicago based designer Brynn Olson is one you need to follow. She is new to the tour this year but I have had the pleasure of getting to know her over the years at design conferences, workshops, and most recently we took an amazing trip to California together with Thermador! If you follow her on her Instagram, you’ll quickly find out that she is a girl on the go! I love following her around on her travels and she often gives me a major case of wanderlust!

Brynn has such a distinct design style, and I always find myself swooning over the sophisticated spaces she creates. These are a few shots from her own Chicago apartment and it’s so perfectly curated. Often, designers put their own houses on the back burner (guilty!) because they are so focused on their clients homes. So, if Brynn’s home is this beautifully put together you can only imagine how jaw-dropping her clients homes are. Head on over to her page to see more of her client work!

Kelsey Grose {Farmer’s Daughters Interiors}

Aside from their homes, I absolutely love seeing other Interior Designer’s studios, offices, and workspaces. Kelsey, from Farmer’s Daughters Interiors, shared her beautiful home with us last year, but this Spring she is showing off her new design studio! I can completely understand how important it is to have an inspiring, functional space to work in and I love how bright and open Kelsey’s studio is.

With a work environment that stunning, it’s no surprise that Kelsey has also created some beautiful work for her clients too. I always love a good before and after and this bathroom renovation is amazing! Although this home was over a century old, Kelsey brought it back to life and made it sleek and chic while keeping the bones of the home intact.

Bria Hammel Interiors

Lastly, I thought I would take a little time to update you on some of the amazing things that have been going on at BHI that you may have missed! For us, this Spring has been all about wrapping up some of our bigger projects and finally showing them off to our followers and readers.

We were so thrilled to share with you our Baltimore Project, which was also featured in this month’s issue of Traditional Home (make sure pick up a copy while you still can!). It’s been amazing to see your responses to the home and article, and we’ve truly been on cloud nine.

Another wonderful feature for us this Spring was our Holly Road Project, which was was featured on Style Me Pretty a few weeks ago! It’s been so incredible to see how excited you all got over this eclectic, vibrant home. If you haven’t had the chance to read about this home, click here to read the full blog post!

I hope you have enjoyed these little updates from us and our friends! Whether it’s at home, at work, or just in general, I would love to know what you’re doing this Spring to refresh your life! Let me know in the comments below!
