Mixing Up the East Coast Style: The Most Pinteresting Thing of the Week

We have been working hard designing a new project for a home in Pennsylvania, and have been so inspired to mix the classic east coast style with a touch of fresh modern vibes. As you may know, this is our 2nd client in Pennsylvania {A peek at our 1st project there. Thanks to Instagram we are able to meet clients from all over the country!} We are excited to present to our clients next week and thought we would share some of the inspiration that helped get us started with our design process.

Kitchen

White cabinets, nickel hardware, the kitchen is off to a great start! We want to add softness and warmth to the space and also make the kitchen feel unique. These kitchens are definitely setting the tone for where we want the kitchen to go.

Great Room

The great room is the family gathering room. Durable fabrics for kids and pets, soft colors to lighten the space, and some high contrast to add interest.

Dining Room

Our clients have a large family so they want options to seat a lot of people for holidays and family gatherings. The dining room is one of the first rooms you see when you walk into the house and we want it to make a statement. We are thinking wallpaper, slipcovered chairs, and a fun vintage inspired chandelier.

We can’t wait to share the finished product with you all! One of the biggest reasons we love working out of state is being able to blend different styles from across the country. To me, the best designed rooms are those that have a combination of styles. Mixing styles makes a room feel full, warm, and special. Stay tuned to see more of this fun project!
