Brooke & Lou Launch Party!

A few weeks ago, with our closest family, friends, clients, and industry members, we gathered at The Hutton House in celebration of our new home décor collection, Brooke & Lou. Honestly, it was more amazing than we could have ever dreamed of and we couldn’t have done it without the help of so many incredibly gifted and generous vendors! We are constantly blow away by the amount of talent there is here in the Twin Cities and each one we worked with for our event completely understood our style and brought our vision to life.

When deciding where we wanted to host our celebration, The Hutton House immediately came to mind. It is the most beautiful open and white space, with natural light shining through the glass doors that gave us a blank slate to showcase our new collection. There were so many beautiful elements of its own including a grand staircase, a fireplace mantel and high ceilings, which allowed us to make it our own which we loved. However, we have to say, the biggest attraction was the outdoor courtyard which was especially a hit with all the kiddos who wanted to run around and play games!

It was important for us to have the event be one that parents could bring their children to and not have to worry about them destroying the scene! So, with our life-friendly pieces and a designated area where the kids could color (we had coloring pages of our exclusive prints!) and play, it was so fun to see that the littles ones were enjoying themselves too.

As we spoke to earlier, we knew that we wanted to make this one-a-kind, so we made sure to call in the reinforcements, aka, Girl Friday. And they absolutely killed it! Since the ceilings in the ballroom are so tall, we wanted to make it feel as cozy as possible. They created this incredible hanging installation that was a complete showstopper. Also, when you walked through the front door you were immediately greeted by the massive balloon garland going down the staircase which was so fun and whimsical.

A party is never truly complete without great good and yummy desserts, right?! D’amico Catering worked their magic for our event and provided one of the most beautiful hors d’oeuvre buffets we think we’ve ever seen. Sometimes when you host a party, you can often forget to eat the food yourself, but trust us, we did not forget at this one. Everything was SO delicious and it made us so happy when our guests thought the same!

For our dessert spread, we knew we wanted to have an assortment of items that satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth no matter what they were craving!
Farina Baking Co. not only whipped up the gorgeous French macarons but they blew us away with the custom cookies with Brooke & Lou’s logo on it. They were almost too cute to eat… almost 😉

We attended an event a few months back and tried Cocoa & Fig’s cake pops and knew immediately that we had to have them at ours. They were also so thoughtful and made sure to make them in colors that fit our color scheme. Amazing!

Lastly, we knew we needed a salty/sweet combo and Hip Pop Popcorn was a huge hit with not only the kiddos but adults as well. Of course we had to put them in adorable green and white striped boxes to match our branding, but the real treat was the popcorn inside!

In our eyes, almost as important to a party to food/desserts, is flowers. We worked with Tara, from A Day in Provence, and it’s almost as if she was a mind reader. From our first meeting, she knew exactly what we were looking for. She added a touch of eucalyptus and acacia designs to the mantel, and simple and beautiful centerpieces that sat on our tables that didn’t distract from our pieces but truly made them that much more beautiful. She really knocked it out of the park.

Other than previewing our collection, we knew we wanted to provide a few activities that guests could do. The extremely talented Claire Ward was able to do LIVE illustrations for those who wanted one, which was SO fun. We honestly couldn’t believe how quickly she drew these amazing sketches (honestly, like 5 minutes!). She is so extremely talented, and what a great souvenir for people to take home with them!

We also had The Traveling Photo Booth set up one of their photo stands which is always a crowd pleaser. We had this custom backdrop created with one of our wallpaper prints and it was so exciting to see people have their pictures taken in front of it and see our patterns come to life! We spent more time than we’d like to admit at the photo booth, but it’s just too much fun not to.

Before they left, all the kiddos at the event took home the most incredible gift bag! We made sure to only include pieces/toys from brands that we truly love and have in our own homes. Interested in shopping our gift bag pieces? Simply click the links below!

All these beautiful photos were taken by Tiffany Kokal. She was an absolute dream to work with and we actually had tears in our eyes when we saw these photos from the first time. She captured the essence of this celebration completely and we couldn’t be more thrilled to finally share these photos with you all!
