As we continue to work on our 2015 Luxury Home with Divine Custom Homes, we’ve been spending some time focusing on the design of the powder bathroom. Quite a few of our clients request that their powder be more formal than the rest of the bathrooms in the home, mostly since it will  primarily be used by guests. One detail that we’ll be incorporating into this bathroom is a custom designed backsplash. Finding inspiration for this concept has been a joy! Check them out below!

This is the initial photo that got our creative juices going…lovely how the backsplash shape is mimicked in the custom trim work around the mirror. So elegant…

Such a beautiful shot…love that they continue the ogee edge from the counter onto the custom backsplash. It’s all in the details!

I’m obsessed with this space! While the marble backsplash appears formal, the natural finish of these cupboards make the space a little more casual. It’s the perfect balance!

Here’s a more modern take…clean linear lines make this backsplash less busy than the rest. (Can we comment on this vanity design too? So cute!)

All the photos I’ve shown you so far are backsplashes in bathrooms. However, I love the thought of incorporating this idea into a butler’s pantry!

Here’s a creative way to use this concept in a kitchen, it would be amazing to showcase a dazzling pot filler 🙂

How’s this for a focal point? Running the marble up past the mirrors makes these vanities look like a piece of art…I love when designers think outside of the box!
