With each new construction project we start, we’re always looking for unique tile patterns we can incorporate into the home. Making tile selections is one of my favorite steps in the design process so I’ve compiled some inspiration photos that I can’t wait to try in upcoming projects!
Shower Tile
Let’s start out with a wow-factor! This mosaic from Artistic Tile is simply a striking and impressive feature to this shower. I love that it incorporates soft blue, navy and cream and it makes the shower appear as if it was wallpapered!
Ok, how cute is this? Sometimes the simplest subway tiles can make the biggest impact! This white and pastel yellow shower would be way too adorable in a Jack & Jill bathroom!
This shower displays a classic and timeless tile pattern! The random flower design creates a playful look!
Just by adding a couple rows of black pencil tile creates nice contrast to the all white shower. Sometimes, less is more 🙂
This may be my favorite! Another great use of subway tiles shown by changing the direction and color the of tile. Adding a pencil trim enhances each row and really makes the whole look a little more special!
Floor Tile
Cement tiles have been all the rage lately! They’re a great way to incorporate pattern into a bathroom or laundry room and there are so many options out right now. We’ve been eyeing up a few over at Cement Tile Shop that we just cant resist!
I’ve had a major crush on anything and everything plaid lately so this kitchen floor has me swooning! This would be a cute concept to incorporate into a mudroom or laundry room too!
If there’s any tile I’ve been obsessing over it’s this….navy blue penny rounds! They look so vibrant and fresh off of the crisp white cabinet! I. Want. This. Bathroom. 🙂
Most tile installers would probably despise us if we designed this…but, it would be so worth it! Creating unique patterns with small hex tiles is a trend I’ve seen a lot of lately. It looks great when paired with simple white subway tile so the mosaic really becomes a focal point in the space!
What’s not to love about this space? Simple, solid colored tile in a unique shape takes center stage in this bathroom. The white, contrasting grout makes a big impact against the charcoal colored tile.
Hexagons, hexagons, and more hexagons…this tile is everywhere on the web! I like the visual interest it adds to a space, yet it keeps a space looking casual too. I can’t wait to do a similar design in an upcoming Copper Creek project!
Backsplash
I thought this was a fun detail for a backsplash…all white tile, but using a bright, colored grout to enhance the design!
We can’t get enough of this Walker Zanger tile! This design is a fun, updated take on the traditional subway tile. Just wait until you see where we’ll be using this in an upcoming project 🙂
I’ve just started to see more of this design while scrolling through Pinterest lately. Probably a little over done in the 80’s/90’s but I think this diagonal, checkered pattern is going to make a comeback. I like that this photo has a “cutesy”, preppy look to it and that they tied in the light blue cabinets with the accent tile. I think this would be super cute in a butler’s pantry!
Ok, I’ll stop now! I could go on forever…like I said, tile is one of my favorite selections to make during the design process. For more inspiration stop by my tile board on Pinterest!
