We love a good kitchen remodel here at BHI. That’s why we’re so excited to share our Pointe Drive kitchen remodel with you today! With gorgeous polished Cambria countertops, beautiful contrasting black and white, and pops of walnut, it doesn’t take long to figure out why this kitchen won our hearts over.
Our clients came to us after having the same kitchen for over 20 years needing a big change. The otherwise traditional home gave us an opportunity to think outside the box by incorporating her desire for a modern kitchen. To transform their space, we began by ripping everything and starting completely fresh! To make sure the house seemed cohesive even while switching styles, we gave a classic twist to our client’s contemporary style. And, we have to say, we’re pretty in love with how it turned out!
It’s no secret that we love white cabinetry and we were excited when our clients felt the same! To give a little bit of contrast and texture however, we decided to go with an incredible, faux brick backsplash in a dark, charcoal color that surrounded the entire kitchen. When you first walk into the room it’s really almost hard to believe that it’s not actually brick and we love what it brought to the space.
For some additional warmth, we chose a dark paint color for the tall built-in unit as well. We decided to put all of the tall elements (i.e. refrigerator, ovens, etc.) on that wall as to not break up the countertop that would run on the other walls and end in the waterfall peninsula. In that same unit, we also added a set-back, pull-out coffee bar area with a walnut detail to pull in the walnut from the existing butler’s pantry.
While there’s so much to love in this kitchen, one element that we cannot get over is the countertops! We installed Cambria’s amazing Brittanica stone in this space and it truly brought everything together to create a beautiful remodel that feels open and sleek. The waterfall peninsula was the cherry on top and really became the show stopper moment for us. All in all, the whole finished project left both us and our client thrilled and what’s better than that?
