I couldn’t be more excited to share today’s post with you all! In comparison to the other homes and spaces we reveal on our blog, this one might be the most special one for me yet. Recently, our Brooklyn transitioned to her big girl room and I could hardly believe how fast time flew by. Mamas – where does it go?! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was pregnant with her and daydreaming about this space and, now, here we are.
When it came designing her bedroom, I knew that I wanted to incorporate Brooke & Lou. After all, she was one-half of the inspiration behind the line. 😉 First things first, we selected the Betty Wallpaper in Crystal Pink for her walls which really set the tone for the entire space. I love this pastel, floral pattern and, to not overwhelm the space, we placed it just above the chair rail.
For a little girl who loves everything Disney princess, I knew that we needed to incorporate a little glam into her room. We decided to add touches of gold through the chandelier, mirror, base of the lamps, and curtain rod (all pieces that she can grow with as well!). However, my favorite gold piece are the picture frames besides her bed. My mother is an amazing seamstress and sewed and embroidered the dresses for Brooklyn – how incredible is that?. Although she has now outgrown them, we framed themed and hung them up because, in my opinion, they’re truly a piece of art!
At the foot of her bed is our Hampshire Bench in the pattern Birdie in Sage. Not only is it beautiful but the fabric is Life-Friendly™ , meaning I don’t have to worry about her taking a marker or silly putty to in the middle of the night (trust me, it’s happened! 😂).
Add in some cozy duvet, sheets, and pillows, butterfly hooks, and a tall dresser to hold all of her clothing and the room is complete. Although I secretly wish it would always looks this clean and put together (ha!), it makes me so happy to see how much she loves making messes and playing in her new room!
Looking to update your little gal’s room? I’ve linked almost all the pieces that are still available throughout this post!
