We are excited to reveal the final project of the year, our France. Ave. home in Edina. This was a full-gut renovation, where we transformed and modernized the home for our clients to enjoy for years to come.
We collaborated with Detail Homes on the project and the final look was a light, traditional-style home with fresh, clean touches – our favorite! So, let’s get into it. Shall we?
KITCHEN
The design of the kitchen couldn’t be more timeless. We went back and forth on whether or not we wanted to add a pop of color in the cabinetry but ultimately decided to go with a white oak that we custom stained into a rich, warm tone paired with Benjamin Moore’s Simply White paint.
While the style of the space is classic, we did opt for pops of modern seen in the cabinet hardware and light fixtures. The pendants over the island provided a little bit of contrast to the room and really created an impact. An overhang was designed to create more seating around the island while not disrupting the overall flow the room.
POWDER BATHROOM
Next to the kitchen is the powder bathroom. Typically in powder bathrooms we play with pattern or color – this time we did that in the form of wallpaper! We love it’s naturalness while still being unique and adding just a little something special to the space.
MUDROOM/ENTRY
Beside the powder bathroom is the mudroom/entryway. This was an opportunity to utilize both functionality and beauty – creating a cubby area where our clients and their guests can hang their coats, bags and more alongside a console with a mirror for final touches.
