Nestled 30 minutes outside of the city lives our Lakeland project — a home surrounded by trees that celebrates the balance of modern, clean design and soft, organic details.
This new-construction home perfectly captures the essence of modern-traditional design. With its stunning architectural features, warm construction details, and a sophisticated relatability, our Lakeland Project is sure to leave you inspired.
THE FOYER
Upon stepping into the project, you are greeted by a clean and bright foyer that sets the tone for the entire home. The millwork and contrasted light fixtures create an inviting atmosphere, making you feel right at home from the moment you enter.
THE LIVING ROOM
The open floor plan of the project seamlessly connects the living room with the rest of the home. As your eyes wander across the space, they’re immediately drawn to the grand stone fireplace that commands attention. But don’t let it distract you for too long, for the black wall of windows and built-in shelving are equally captivating, adding depth and character to the room.
THE PLAYROOM
Adjacent to the living room, the playroom awaits the little ones who will create cherished memories in this delightful space while our clients can still keep a watchful eye on them. While maintaining the overall aesthetic of the home, we’ve injected a pop of playfulness with a neutral color palette and woodland-themed wallpaper, perfectly complemented by contrasting trim.
THE BREAKFAST NOOK
Our personal favorite spot in the Lakeland Project is the breakfast nook – a truly charming corner nestled within the main kitchen area. Surrounded by a wood-paneled ceiling and contrasting black windows, this cozy nook features a built-in bench that invites you to start your day in comfort and style.
THE KITCHEN
Prepare to be wowed by the kitchen in this home… a true masterpiece that commands attention. And it’s not just the sleek cabinetry and high-end appliances that steal the spotlight. The arched window and stone accent wall above the sink is an architectural marvel, offering an enchanting view of the backyard’s mesmerizing forestry. Paired with textured light fixtures over the stained island, this space balances modern and traditional design details effortlessly.
THE POWDER BATHROOM
Even the small details in our Lakeland Project have not been overlooked. The powder bathroom is a testament to this, featuring a moody floral wallpaper that adds a touch of elegance and personality. The custom reeded Cambria countertop sink further enhances the sophistication of this space.

What a beautiful home! Would you be willing to share the stone type and the lights oven the kitchen island?
Hi Lori, I don't have the stone source for you, but click here for a link to the light source!
Happy New Year, I really like reading your blog. I wanted to know in the LakeLand project if you painted the fireplace stone white? We have grey stone and it would be nice to change the look. Thank you so much, Karen
Thank you Karen! We didn't paint it, no. That fireplace was built custom for this space.
