Rochester Project Kids’ Rooms

Creating beautiful and functional spaces for kids is one of our favorite design experiences. For our Rochester Project, we had the pleasure of designing three unique and stylish rooms for three adventurous boys. Today, we’re thrilled to share the special details and thoughtful designs that make these bedrooms and bathrooms perfect for each of them!

If you missed part one of our Rochester Project reveal, don’t worry! We covered the rest of this stunning home in a previous post, showcasing how we brought together style, functionality, and comfort throughout. You can go back and catch up on all the beautiful details we incorporated in the main living areas, kitchen, and more here.

BEDROOM #1

In the first bedroom, we introduced built-in shelving and a cozy window bench painted in a rich green, perfectly complementing the subtle blue stripe wallpaper. To add texture and pattern, we chose a seagrass headboard and custom drapery, creating a space that’s both stylish and inviting. This room is designed to grow with him, easily adapting to his changing tastes and interests over time.

BEDROOM #2

In the second bedroom, we chose a sophisticated blue grey-toned plaid wallpaper that perfectly complements the new blue built-in shelving surrounding the door. For this sports enthusiast, we added a touch of personality with charming baseball prints above the bed, making the space feel uniquely his.

BATHROOM

In the adjacent bathroom, we chose to retain the existing tile and introduced a subtle patterned wallpaper to enhance the walls. Minimalist fixtures and thoughtful details complete the space, adding a touch of elegance and cohesion.

BEDROOM #3

In the youngest boy’s bedroom, we introduced a playful blueprint wallpaper that beautifully contrasts with the understated plaid of the drapery and the custom window bench seat. To make this space even more fun and functional, we included bunk beds, perfect for sleepovers and creating lasting memories.
