I wonder if paying so close attention to every month as Louie grows older is what is making time go by so fast? I don’t know what it is, but everyone warned me that it would happen.

Time. Is. Flying.

What a crazy month this past month has been. A 6 month old at Christmas, way too much fun. I’m happy to report Louie officially grew out of his 5 month funk and into a happy and lovable 6 month old. I blame the funk on teething.

We had so much fun with him over Christmas… and he was spoiled rotten.

And now, as I sit here if Florida writing this, the 2nd time I’ve been away from my baby for more then a day, I realize how lucky we are to have such an incredible, easy going, happy baby. And a new thing I’ve figured out… those times when you are on a short vacation and you feel like you could stay for another 2 weeks, the best part about having a baby is it makes you WANT to go home. I love that! Can’t wait to see him in 48 hours 🙂

Clothes:6-12 Month clothes… and some 12 month clothes.

Diapers: Still in size 3!

Food: He is still eating the same amount of food… now he eats 2nd foods and is eating fresh strawberries and bananas in the mesh container. He also loves the mum mums!

Sleep: Still a great sleeper. He now takes naps from 9:30-11, and then an afternoon nap. He goes to bed around 7:30-8 and wakes up around 6-6:30 and plays in his crib until 7:30am.

New Developments: He had some big achievements this month, one of the biggest being his first tooth cutting! He looks so mature and grown up with that first tooth! (I know I know just wait until he starts standing, and walking, and talking…)

He is really using that little brain of his too. I’ve noticed him starting to repeat what we say with similar sounding grunts. For example, we always chant to him “Louie! Louie! Louie!” I don’t know why… we always have, and he has always loved it. Well anyways now he has started grunting the same sounds as how we say it. So cute. (I guess until he starts actually saying the words, then people might think that is kind of funny…)

Likes: Dogs! Oh my does he love dogs. Puts an instant smile on his face 🙂 His favorite toys are his 2 footballs, and some of the techy toys he got from his Aunts and Uncles. There is a whinnie the pooh phone and a laptop that he loves 🙂
