A Lemon Themed Baby Shower

We’ve said this before, but our team at BHI truly feels like a family. So, when one of us goes through a major life event – we all do! 😉Our insanely talented and incredibly sweet Stylist, Kelly, is welcoming a second baby boy into her family this Spring and we were so excited to celebrate her and this beautiful new chapter in her life. And honestly, is there anything more fun than throwing a baby shower?!

For the theme, we wanted something that made it clear it was for a baby boy, but still had Kelly’s personal aesthetic – preppy, bright, with a bit of whimsy. After a bit of brainstorming (and Pinteresting!), we decided on a lemon theme incorporating citrus details and nods to nature. Luckily for us, a lot of Brooke & Lou’s Spring Collection revolves around a similar theme so we were able to pull a few pieces from the line!

The base of the tablescape was our Blue & White Picnic Check Paper Table Runnerwhich incorporated that baby boy blue as well the convenience factor for cleaning up – we love the throw-away aspect of it! To top it off, we brought in our Pinstripe Pistachio Napkins(leave it to a group of Interior Designers to bring their own napkins to a restaurant 😂), Faux Lemon Trees, vintage books, and an abundance of fresh flowers. We love how simple and sweet it came together and we truly had the best time. The setting, the Copper Hen, couldn’t have been a more perfect place for our celebration and their food, desserts, and staff are unmatched.
