Today, we are continuing the tour of our Middleton, Wisconsin project with Part II of our big reveal! If you missed Part I last week, click here to catch up. Let’s get right into it, shall we?

Before we head to the lower level, there’s one last room we needed to share: the girl’s bedroom! We can’t say this enough; this room was so much fun for us to design. Because our client’s daughters would be sharing this space, we made sure that it incorporated things they both loved. The color palette, for example, is a huge representation of this. One loved the color pink, while the other loved the color blue. Luckily for us, this already happens to be one of our favorite color schemes for a young girl’s room.

Similarly, to the rest of the home, the size of this space was massive. We were able to fit two desks, two queen sized beds and a large side table between the both of them easily. However, despite how big it is, we love how comfortable, warm, and welcoming this room is for the girls. And, we were happy to learn that BOTH of them loved the space equally!

When it comes to porches, this one may take the cake for the coziest one we’ve ever done. This space was created for warm, summer nights and long chats with family and friends. Playing with pattern, texture, and, of course, indoor-outdoor fabrics we made sure that it could withstand three seasons with ease.

If you follow us on Instagram, you might have come across this photo of the incredible, reading nook. However, little did many of you know, but this space is actually in the basement! And, to be honest, that’s part of the reason we love it so much. One of our goals, in any home that we do, is to create unique, unexpected moments throughout the entire home. Basement-level spaces tend to be an afterthought for people, so we like to make an extra effort to make them feel more special.

Additionally, when people do decorate lower levels, they tend to use darker, heavier colors and then don’t end up wanting to use the space. This little staircase reading area became such a sweet surprise for guests when you turn the corner into the lower level and we’re slightly obsessed!

Creating a guest bedroom can sometimes be one of the most fun spaces to design. There’s no specific personality or style you’re trying to stick to, and, often, you have the freedom to stir up something unique and new. For this guest bedroom, we wanted to play with a more masculine vibe that juxtaposed the rest of the home. From leather accents in the pillows and chair, camel tones, and a cozy, navy rug this room is perfect for our client’s friends that come to visit often!
