Ok, making this a weekly habit now! I can’t help but try all the delicious looking recipes on Pinterest. And with the comments that everyone posts on them it always makes me believe they HAVE to be good.
The good news is I’ve actually had a decent amount of luck with them. Some of the recipes are definitely outside of my typical menu, but its been fun to try new things.
The winner first:
Recipe #1:
Feta Dip
The original recipe is found here.
Ingredients:
olive oil
1 block (1#) of feta cheese
3 roma tomatoes, diced
1/2 bunch of green onions, chopped (original recipe calls for a full bunch but it was too much and I ended up removing some)
1 baguette
Greek Seasoning- I couldn’t find this anywhere but used the oregano, pepper and salt and it tasted great!
1 large platter
Directions: (taken from original site)
Step 1. Spread the platter with a thin layer of olive oil
Step 2. Dice the green onions and tomatoes and spread over the olive oil
Step 3. Crumble the feta cheese over the tomatoes and onions
Step 4. Sprinkle the seasoning on top (about 3 tsps)
Step 5. Mix everything together gently on the platter
Step 6. Slice the baguette into thin slices…
And thats it!
I laid the sliced bread around the dip for easy access, and we used a spoon to serve.
And now for the fail:
Olive Garden Salad Dressing
Original recipe found here.
I won’t layout the whole recipe since I didn’t enjoy the final product, but will say that the dressing was very bland. Not bad, just boring. Funny thing is, my mother in law informed me you can BUY the actual dressing from Olive Garden… Definitely will be doing that next time!
So not bad, 1 good 1 not so good! Excited to share with you another recipe I found online that I will be adding to pinterest, it was so good! Coming next week 🙂
