If you’ve been following Brooke & Lou on Instagram, you might have seen a couple sneak peeks from our SD Lake Home project over the past few weeks. This beautiful lake house has a special place in our hearts for two reasons: it was the setting of B&L’s fall collection photoshoot (shop that here!), and, more importantly, it is the family cabin of our friends, Sean and Katie Doyle of SD Custom Homes!
We’ve worked with the Doyles on dozens of homes over the years and it was so exciting for us to work with them on a personal project this time around. They are as kind as they are hardworking so we knew that we wanted to help them create a place where they could unwind, unplug, and relax with their three daughters.
This stunning home that sits on Pike Lake is a true oasis and only an hour outside of the Twin Cities! The second you drive on to the property, you immediately feel at ease – what more could you want from a cabin? From the cozy, warm interior to the scenic view of the lake, we fell in love with this home and are currently trying to figure out how to convince Sean and Katie to let us move in permanently. 😉
While there are so many things to adore about this house, our favorite aspect was how collaborative this project was. It was so fun to work with a client who brought a strong vision and an abundance of design ideas to the table. Because of this, we were able to achieve magic and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how this home turned out.
