Here in Minnesota, when the middle of January storms in, we’re longing for cozy, inviting spaces that fill the void of passed holiday celebrations and cherished family. Today, we’re excited to share with you a space that does just that. A 3 Seasons Porch from a new construction home we completed with Divine Custom Homes, is perfect for snuggling around the wood fireplace and embracing the many textures in the space. And, as an added bonus, the room is filled with cheerful colors and patterns that are the perfect reminder that spring is out there….way, way out there!
If you remember from our reveal of this home shown here, these clients appreciated accents of soft color and spaces designed with entertaining in mind. Applying those same rules for their porch, we incorporated a deep sofa, a pair of chairs and an oversized ottoman that can be used for additional seating or display for snacks and beverages!
As for the bones of this room, we wanted it to be a little more rustic than the rest of the home. By keeping the cedar shake in the grey tones we kept the room traditional, but throwing the weathered fieldstone on the fireplace into the mix was the perfect touch to bring the outdoors in. We thought adding the white antlers to the space was the perfect cherry on top for the space (without going overboard outdoorsman, even the wife was in favor!)
And there it is, the Stillwater House porch.

Can see myself with a good book and a glass of Chardonnay in that space.
