Our Favorite Spots in West Hollywood

If you follow us on Instagram, then you know we spent much of last week in Los Angeles. We were fortunate enough to have to have attended the Design Bloggers Conference, held at the Beverly Hills Hilton.

Having spent three days there, we experienced California’s diverse weather and scenery. When we were not in the conference, we were scooting around town exploring. Our favorite area was easily West Hollywood, particularly Melrose Avenue. Somehow this street is home to our favorite spots, and everything we could ever need. At the heart of the area is the Pacific Design Center, and surrounding it is a plethora of boutiques. Here are a few our favorite places we stopped.

First, coffee & tea at the Alfred Tea Room.

We could have spent all day in their adorable cafe.

After tea, we got right to work. Just around the corner was the impressive Waterworks showroom.

This West Hollywood showroom is unlike any other.

We couldn’t visit the West Hollywood Design District without stopping at Restoration Hardware.

As we made our way through the Design District, we found everything from expansive showrooms to tiny boutiques.

Thanks to Nicky Rising Ltd, our suitcases were packed full of one-of-a-kind fabrics, and somehow we even managed to bring home a rug {we couldn’t live without}.

Everybody knows the shops in LA are some of the best in the world. This trip wouldn’t have been complete without a stop to Rodeo Drive.

As posh as the iconic shopping area was, we found ourselves back in West Hollywood where the boutiques resonated with us a little more.

We could have taken the fabrics from the collections at Martha Medeiros and used them in so many exciting ways. The moment Bria walked in, you could tell her heart skipped a beat as she said, “this is a perfect BHI pallet.”

Between the conferences, and visiting showrooms, we made our way to some of West Hollywoods best restaurants.

We’d like to think that Lisa Vanderpump located SUR in the heart of the design district knowing that someday, Bria would be visiting.

Gracias Madre did not disappoint. While some of our group was a bit skeptical of the strictly vegetarian menu, we knew at the very least we would be getting a fun experience.

The plant based food was unlike anything we had ever experienced. Not only was it filling, but it had us all considering a new diet. Not to mention the crafted cocktails were equally as creative and tasty.

A friend of ours {Minnesota native}, lives up the street from Catch and suggested it for one of our late night dinners.

This New York based restaurant is perched above the streets of the West Hollywood Design District. From the moment we stepped off the elevator we were transplanted to somewhere else in the world. At the time, we thought we’d happened upon a secret garden, but apparently Catch is a hot spot for many celebrities.

On our last day, we spent the morning walking through some of the most incredible neighborhoods of Los Angeles, and quite possibly the world.

Down every street we found inspiration and beauty.

We will be back soon, Los Angeles.
