Spring Into Home: Kelsey Grose’s Home Tour

It’s week 3 of our #SpringIntoHome tour and this week we are featuring the fabulous Kelsey Grose of Farmer’s Daughter Interiors & Design!

Check out week 1 featuring Doreen Corrigan’s Home, and week 2 featuring Bria’s personal home!

Kelsey is an Interior Designer out of Swift Current, Saskatchewan (surprisingly close to Minnesota!). Having only started her business a year ago, she has achieved so many great accomplishments! She received an award for Best New Design Blog at the same conference we attended this year, the Design Bloggers Conference. She is now guest blogging for an amazing podcaster Luanne Nigara’s series A Well Designed Business, and was just recently featured on Apartment Therapy. Kelsey has had quite the year!

Kelsey and her husband purchased their home 3 years ago and have been renovating it ever since. It’s a charming home with a touch of modern, a touch of glam, and a simple casualness mixed in.

The foyer light she found is a perfect blend of modern with a touch of femininity.

When you convert a home to an open concept like Kelsey has, furniture layout is key. Notice how she created an entry way just by the strategic placement of furniture.

People are always asking how to make a tv not look so obvious. Including it in a gallery wall is a great way to make it disappear.

We love Kelsey’s kitchen. Fresh, bright, and not fussy. She places special objects throughout her house to make it feel more personal, like this antique scale of her grandmothers.

How amazing are these barstools? The combination of black and warm wood is perfection!

Her bedroom is another well collected space. Asymmetrical nightstands with ample amounts of storage, balanced with matching lamps, creates a beautiful balance of function and form. The bed was another piece she found and spray painted black; its amazing what a coat of paint can do!

To finish off the tour, take a peek into her master bathroom. This antique gold mirror combined with the bright white walls is perfection. Feminine, collected, and yet completely updated. Definitely one of our favorite rooms in her house!

That does it for this weeks #SpringIntoHome Tour! Come back next week to see Claire Staszak from Centered By Design‘s home in Chicago. We will be wrapping up the series with Meredith’s home from View From My Heels!
