Last Spring, this beautiful house was featured in the Parade of Homes Tour and we were so thrilled to see that so many of you visited the home and tagged us on Instagram with your photos! But, if you weren’t able to see it in person, have no fear! Today we are so excited to share the full reveal of our Knoll Drive project that we worked on with Landmark Build Co. and David Charlez Designs.
While technically this project was a renovation, it was a complete overhaul and customized down to every last detail. However, by incorporating authentic details like exposed brick, wood beams, and unique crown molding, it’s almost impossible to tell which parts of the home were original and what is new! Which is really the goal when working on a renovation.
Our clients wanted to make sure that their home was classic, preppy, and family oriented and non-trendy. While we naturally gravitate towards more traditional design, it was fun for us to incorporate some more preppy and colorful elements into the space.
The Kitchen
The kitchen is typically the heart of a home, and that’s certainly no different for this house. With a large family, our clients wanted a big island where their children could sit, chat, do their homework, while they cooked. We chose to go with black honed granite countertops because of it’s clean look and durability. For a bit of freshness, we selected a soft chevron backsplash that offers interest but still will remain timeless throughout the years.
The Hearth Room
Right off of the kitchen is the beautiful Hearth Room aka the most perfect place to read a book and enjoy a cup of coffee. Can you imagine this spot in the winter with a roaring fire going? Yes, the fireplace works! To warm up the space even more, we went with a cozy poly-wool plaid fabric for the chairs and a jute rug. From the looks of it, Georgie approves too!
The Living Room
By far one of our favorite rooms in the entire home is the living space. Layered to perfection with an abundance of color and texture, we like to think of it as a casual interpretation of a Ralph Lauren living space. And what’s Ralph Lauren without at least a little nod to America?
We saw this amazing bleached wool flag last year at High Point in Suzanne Kasler’s showroom and knew we just had to have it. We searched high and low and finally found it from an amazing boutique in Alys Beach and we got the LAST ONE. Fate! It ended up being the most incredible piece for this living space and love it against the striped wall covering.
P.s. That green cross artwork over the fireplace? It’s a Brooke & Lou piece!
Main Floor Powder Bath
We’ve said it many times before, but we love to wallpaper a powder bath! This Suchmacher wallpaper was unique, but not overwhelming in a smaller space and love how it turned out. Another detail from this room that we love is the vintage mirror we found at local antique shop in Minneapolis!
The Master Bed and Bathroom
The Master Bedroom is truly an oasis in the home and its 20’ high vaulted ceilings and reclaimed wood beams make it a dramatic, show stopper. The oversized light fixture brings your eye down just a little bit, so that it still remains cozy environment despite its grand nature.
Compared to the rest of the house, the bedroom is quite neutral and that was intentional. Our client loved the idea of blending charcoal and beiges, and it brought the calmness and serenity that every master bedroom should have!
For the bathroom, we kept things clean, bright, and created a layout that was perfect for two people getting ready. And, can we just talk about that soaking tub? Pretty much our idea of heaven!
Jack and Jill Bathroom
Next week we will be sharing the reveal of the girls’ bedroom (trust us, it deserves its own post!), but we wanted to share a glimpse into the kids spaces. The Jack and Jill bathroom upstairs which the kid’s share was a nice opportunity to bring some color onto the walls (this is Hale Navy by Benjamin Moore) and incorporate a fun penny tile!
Thank you for following along with us on our latest reveal of our latest project! If you didn’t catch their dining room reveal (which includes all of our favorite gallery wall tips!) make sure to check that out here.
This was such a joy to work on and would love to know what your favorite detail is! Leave them in the comments below!

Absolutely beautiful!
Love the kitchen backsplash! Can you share who makes it? And what it is called?! Thank you so much!
