{Party Planning}: A Gender Neutral Baby Shower

Last weekend we had so much fun hosting my brother and sister-in-law’s baby shower. It has been killing me that they have not found out the sex, but with her due date being the end of this week, we will FINALLY get to meet our new little niece or nephew very soon!

Whenever I host a party, as I’m sure for most, people are always asking for recipes, how we made the decorations, etc. etc. So I thought it would be fun to write a post with all the recipes, and links to a few of the DIY items we made for the shower!

Menu:

Meatball Parmigiana Sliders: click here for the recipe.

(note: these definitely were not the size of sliders. I suppose if you had a bakery make the buns you could make it possible, but it was impossible to find mini brioche buns anywhere! They were delicious but SUPER messy!)

Feta Dip: click here for the recipe. This is my new go-to dip. It’s so easy to make and so delicious!

Taco Cups: Click here for the recipe. Again, another pinterest recipe that I have made before. Very easy to make and really good, although they definitely taste better hot out of the oven!

Buffalo Chicken Dip: click here for the recipe. This is a favorite with the guys. (But I think the girls loved it just as much!)

Tomato and Basil Skewers: Click here for the recipe. (we didn’t use the mozzarella this time, and they were still great!)

Salami, Cheese, and Olive Skewers: click here for the recipe.

Bacon Wrapped Sausage: click here for the recipe.

This was a couple’s shower, so we had it make it fun for the guys too. (We all know how they grumble when they hear they have to go to a baby shower!) So we decided to have a baby pool to get the gambling itch out of the boys!

A few clues to help people make their guess!

Here are the pdf’s if you would like to use!

      Thank you!

Enjoyed following your planning of this party but must laugh that "in my day" all showers were "gender neutral". I doubt that the phrase had even been coined. The Harmony Elementary School teachers had a shower for Doug before our first baby (Sarah) and I loved all the yellow and green clothes..as compared to the overload of pink we received after the birth.

That is funny Cindy it seems hardly ever now do people wait to find out what they are having!
