It’s Time for an Introduction…

This post has been a long time coming… I have been so blessed over this past year to find the right people to work with me and help me manage our rapidly growing business (and help me to keep my head on straight!)

As many of you know, Anna Furrer has been part of the Bria Hammel Interiors team for almost a year now. Super talented, very fashion forward, and always willing to take on a new challenge, I’m not sure this business would be where it’s at without her help over the past year!

Bria Hammel Interiors: Meet the Team

As business started to grow, we decided that the 2 of us couldn’t handle it all! We are blessed to have the opportunity to work on a lot of new construction projects, as well as big decorating and design jobs. Anna has a passion for pulling a room together all the way down to placing the last accessories, so she now is project manager on all of our decorating projects.

We searched long and hard for the right person to add to the team to assist with all of our construction projects. We were referred a great student that was just about to graduate from Design school, and we brought her on as an intern. It didn’t take more than 2 days for Anna and I to know we wanted to make her a permanent part of the team! Katie Pieper has a passion for design, an excitement for life, and cracks us up daily with her excitement to be in the “real world” of design. Katie will now be assisting on all things construction, as well as helping out with some of the big decorating jobs that takes the whole team 😉

I am so blessed to have 2 amazing assistants that can really help to manage all of our projects and keep things moving at a quick pace for our clients, but the one thing I was still missing was someone to help manage the business side of things. Ask any Interior Designer who owns their own business, 75% of our time is spent doing paperwork, paying bills, and taking care of “business”. We also know that time spent doing those things is not income producing, and therefore the less time we have to spend doing it the better!

Doing the books for an interior designer is not the easiest job in the world. It is a very complicated business. So when I received a referral from someone in the industry that  knew the right person, I was thrilled! Katie Gustafson has a lot of experience working for high end design firms in the past, but also has a passion for crunching numbers and making sure everything is just right on the business end of things. She gets down to business; a task that you would expect to take an entire day to complete she can finish in an hour, and lets just say my stress level has been cut in half having her as part of our team!

Needless to say I am one happy lady having these girls work with me. There is never a dull moment in the office now!
