A Charming Cottage By One of Our Favorites…

If you know me well, you know one of the most influential designers in my life is Suzanne Kasler. (When I say “in my life”- I’ve met her once, that counts right?!) This woman is so darn talented and successful, traveling the world collecting one of a kind pieces for her clients to mix with beautiful furnishings and some of her own designed pieces from Ballard Designs and Hickory Chair.

She. Is. Amazing.

She worked on this adorable cottage as the 2014 Palmetto Bluff Idea House, and its darling. She is known for her feminine detail but also for her ability to create a perfectly sophisticated and formal home. But I LOVED seeing this adorable cottage with its casual aesthetic.

Here are some shots from this gorgeous lakeside home:

This railing is to die for! Keeping with the open concept as to not block the spectacular view from any angle!

Love the touch of modern she mixed in with the casual rustic dining chairs and lighting.

The color of this cabinetry is perfect. And the hanging shelves in a second home is a great way to keep things accessible and open.

Check out this room- they call it the “clutter” room… a place to catch the not so pretty things- but I’d say everything in here is looking pretty cute to me!

This adorable girls room holds one of my all time favorite Suzanne Kasler pieces! This quatrefoil back chair can be used in so many different type of spaces and adds that perfect touch of “girly” that every room needs.

My favorite color combo right now: Navy, cream, and natural wood. So nautical and so masculine.

Pretty nice huh? Wouldn’t be too shabby for a second home? Ok, I’d probably take it for my first home too! To see more of Suzanne Kasler’s work check out her beautiful website.
