{Bria Hammel Interiors}: 14 Accomplishments in 2014

It’s the end of the year already??? Where did the time go??? What a year 2014 has been. I thought it was going to be hard to call out 14 accomplishments this year (sounded like a lot!) but once I took a look back at all that has happened this year I was overwhelmed by the blessings we have had.

So here goes…

#1: Bria Hammel Interiors received the “Best of Houzz 2014” award

We were honored to be recognized as on of the top on Houzz! We utilize this website every day with our projectsĀ and it has become a key tool in our communication of style with clients!

#2: Our team grew again!

Last year we added Anna to the Bria Hammel Interiors team, and this year we also have added Katie Pieper and Katie Gustafson. It’s so funny to think back to when I tried to do this all on my own… I don’t know what I would do without these ladies!

#3: We were published again!

This spring our Vintage Kitchen Remodel Project was featured in Spaces Magazine. So much fun seeing our projects in print!

Also, our 2014 Luxury Home was featured in the Star Tribune…

#4: Louie turned 2! Ok I know, not business, and I used him as an accomplishment last year too…. but seriously, running a crazy business and raising a 2 year old is quite the accomplishment! Especially when they are as cute as he is šŸ˜‰

#5: We completed our 2014 Luxury Home with Divine Custom Homes!

This was a fun project… our main goal was bridging our clients very different styles: classic traditional with a touch of feminine andĀ ultra rustic and masculine. The home was featured in the Star Tribune as well as the Fall issue of Midwest Home!

#6: We started our new E-Design Service!

This has been a really fun new service to add to our menu for our clients. Its allows us to work on lower budget projects who typically wouldn’t hire an interior designer, projects that are out of state but not necessarily big enough for us to travel, and made great house warming gifts for someone moving into a new home!

#7: Anna and I took a really fun trip to NYC and High Point this spring!

We toured NYC for 24 hours before heading to North Carolina. It was a fun filled busy day of seeing some of our favorite retailers and design showrooms!

We went to Treillage and who did we run into??? Non other than THE John Rosselli… He was the sweetest man ever and came up and introduced himself to us, and then proceeded to tell me I was not dressed warm enough for the weather šŸ™‚

#8: We expanded our office!

A year ago I asked the leasing company if we could divide the open space in half and only occupy half of it because I just didn’t know what we would do with all that space. One year later, we ended up taking over the extra space and now I can’t imagine having less. We now have a nice sitting area for clients to see some of the product we carry and for us to be able to relax and work on our laptops sometimes. We also have a private conference room and I have my own office now! (I feel so grown up!) Some day we promise to take pictures of the completed space!

#9: We were lucky enough to work on more out of state projects this year!

Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Kansas, Alabama… needless to say we were busy!

#10: We started working on a new development called The Bluffs of Shady Beach in Prior Lake with Copper Creek! So excited for this cute neighborhood to get built! The model is almost complete and we are starting to work on the 2nd home purchased in the neighborhood!

#11: We started working on the 2015 Luxury Home!

This one is going to be the best yet. We have had so much fun pulling selections for the finishes in the home. Just think- charcoal and brass, polished nickel and cream… It’s going to be amazing! Here is a sneak peak at the gorgeous powder bathroom we are working on!

#12: Our social media has taken off!

Last year we had 3600 pins on Pinterest, this year we have almost reached 7,000! We also started an Instagram account this fall andĀ our followers are growing by the day. We love social media as a way to share our day to day with all of you! If you aren’t following us already, here are links to start following us on all of our social media handles!

#13: If you follow this blog you probably have heard us shouting from the roof tops… but we were selected as one of the Fresh Faces of Design by HGTV! Such an honor and we are so excited to be part of the select group of up and coming designers under 35!

#14: This year was our biggest year yet! I’m humbled that I have been able to say this every year since I stared Bria Hammel Interiors 2.5 years ago. Who would have thought we would have grown this fast? We are blessed with THE best clients, THE best projects, and never spending a day feeling like we are “working”. I cannot wait to see what is in store for us in 2015, if it’s anything like 2014 I know its going to be great!
