Happy day, readers!
We’re always looking for ways to add the most impact to each space we design. While working on stairways they can be easily overlooked by laying down neutral, broadloom carpet or continuing the wood floor down the steps. While none of these options are necessarily wrong, and sometimes they may suit the space best…some stairways just call for more attention! 🙂 We’ve been gathering some of the best photos to inspire us for our current Kansas City project and couldn’t resist sharing them with you!
This bright emerald green runner makes a huge impact in this playful, black & white foyer. Such a fresh design!
I always love a geometric pattern on a stair runner and this one definitely doesn’t disappoint…the coloring is perfect for this space and I love how masculine this stairway feels.
How fun is this? Just another way to add an additional detail to a stair…why finish the carpet at the bottom step when you can incorporate a fun shape like this?
One can never go wrong with a stripe on their stairs, it creates such a focal point! I love how the black and white anchors the stairs in this bright and airy entryway!
I love the simplicity of this sisal runner and black trim. This space feels so put together, yet not too formal.
This simple carpet defines the spiral staircase in our Sunfish Lake project and adds a little extra formality to this foyer.
