Most “Pinteresting” Thing of The Week | Host-Friendly Living Room’s

As designers, we always start the design process by asking our clients one simple question, how do you plan on using this space? Of course, the design process entails a much more in depth look at the user’s lifestyle, wants, and overall expectations, but it really does all come back to that one simple question.

When we are talking about living rooms, a huge consideration is almost always, being able to host. In order for our living spaces to be “host-friendly” as we like to call it, they not only need to be beautiful but serve multiple functions. We love these beautiful living spaces we’ve found when looking for inspiration this week:

We love the variations of seating options in Pink Peonie’s Living Room Reveal designed by GateHouse No.1. The use of ottomans, chaises, and armchairs makes this space perfect for entertaining. We also love the mix of elegance and casual, which makes the space feel not only beautiful, but live-able as well.

Another great way to design a living room perfect for entertaining, is by creating what we call “conversational seating” arrangements. This design is perfect for hosting small gatherings, while encouraging more personal and intimate conversation.

You may recognize this living room from our Stone Cliff Drive Reveal, on the blog earlier this week. This space is a great example of flexible seating options. We also love the open floor plan of this home, perfect for hosting.
