Best Travel Tips for Women Who Travel

One of the best parts of our business is the opportunity to travel. With clients across the country and partners in various cities, we find inspiration everywhere we go.

Regardless of where we are going, there’s a lot of details to cover. One of the areas we’ve become experts in is packing.

Bringing the right pieces, the perfect shoes, and all the necessities is key. The easy part was finding the perfect travel accessories to pack it all in. Here are some of our favorites.

This adorable pink suitcase, lined in blue and white stripe comes from Stream Line Luggage.  It is as charming as it is functional. Carry-on sized, but still has ample space for clothes, paint decks and Client binders. Katie gets stopped at the airport every single time with someone wondering where she got her adorable suitcase from.

A few of our must have travel cases: Jack Wills pink and navy passport case and Draper James canvas quote makeup bag. Bria finds that storing items in specialized cases  makes quick trips more manageable to pack and go.

Whether we are traveling with family or work, the ipad pro doubles as an ipad and laptop, is light-weight and we happen to love that it comes in brass.

To keep everything charged-up, Bria relies on her Adrianne Vittadani portable power bank, that also doubles as a compact mirror. {its all about multi tasking right?!}

As for what to wear, we find ourselves scrambling to the very last minute and we may end up doing some shopping while we travel. Never the less, we have our staple items that will get us through any occasion.

  • Always bring accessories that you can dress up or dress down. A light-weight sweater that you can use as a layer.
  • A light-colored scarf that you can accessorize with or wear over the shoulders to keep you warm when the sun goes down.
  • We never forget a couple pairs of shoes [or a suitcase full]. We always bring our go-to comfy shoes so we can climb ladders and haul product as we get through an install. As important as our comfy shoes are, we always make sure to bring a pair that will get us through an event with industry leaders or dinner with a client. Still, we keep these practical by bringing a pair neutral in color and comfortable for long days.
  • We almost always bring an emergency pair of flips flops that that can fit into a purse {nobody has to know!}.

If you find yourself scrambling last minute, you are not alone. Save these tips for the next time you are packing for a trip. Feel free to share your best travel accessories or tips you have to make traveling a little easier.
