We’re big fans of Valentine’s Day here at BHI. A day filled with love, flowers, and chocolate? Yeah, count us in. But, we have to say, Galentine’s Day is a close second for us. It’s become a time for our studio of women to connect after a crazy busy holiday season and celebrate the amazing friendships we’ve created. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to blast some Whitney Houston and whip out all our favorite ultra-feminine decor.
This year we decided to throw a Galentine’s Day brunch filled with amazing food, a rosé punch (which we’ll be sharing the recipe for below), and lots of sweet treats.
If it were up to us, this is how the table would be set every day. For our table scape, we chose to forgo a tablecloth and use this dreamy pink runner that puddled to the floor instead. We then layered in a range of white, silvers, golds… gold chargers under white plates, topped with pink glass salad plates, paired with this gold flatware. Of course, we had to add in more pink, and we love these striped napkins from Pottery Barn paired with silver and pearl napkin rings. For drinks, we chose these gold-rimmed glasses from Anthropologie. And though we thought, ‘these would be great for Valentine’s Day!’, we’re planning on using them throughout the rest of the year. The table also wouldn’t have been complete without the insanely gorgeous flower arrangement that our friends at Spruce created for us.
As a party favor, we gifted a homemade jar of sugar scrub which is great to help heal dry winter skin. We used this recipe and replaced the peppermint essential oil with a rose essential oil!
When throwing a party big or small, we love adding in those little personal touches. Mixing up a signature cocktail is a super fun way to do that and this rosé punch was a wonderful addition to our brunch. It’s easy to make, refreshing, and, well, it’s pink — what more could you want for Valentine’s Day? We used Martini and Rossi Rosé which made for the best sparkling cocktail that all the ladies loved.
Here’s what you’ll need to make it yourself:
8 cups of Martini & Rossi Sparkling Rosé (or about 2.5 bottles)
3 cups of lemonade
1 cup of sparkling water (we used lemon)
Juice of 1 grapefruit
Juice of 2 lemons
Another fun detail we added to our soirée was this flower wall. It was so easy to do (just flowers + washi tape) and it made for the perfect backdrop for photos.
