A Timeless Jacket for Spring

After a pretty brutal Minnesota winter, I couldn’t more excited for the arrival of Spring! And, while springtime weather can sometimes be unpredictable (i.e. chilly, sunny mornings or rainy, warm afternoons), I absolutely love this time of year. With the changing of any season, I always get excited to rotate out my wardrobe and resurface the pieces that were packed away. One of the items I get eager to pull out is that easy, lightweight jacket. Maybe because, at this point, I’ve been living in heavy, puffer coats for months!

This year, I was wanting to update my everyday jacket to one that was classic, beautiful, and versatile. I was looking for one that I could keep in my car or easily grab when I’m walking out the door that would be appropriate for running errands, site visits with clients, or trips to the park with my kiddos!

About a month ago, I came across this jacket from Tuckernuck and it pretty much checked off all my boxes – plus, it’s waterproof. Bonus points for that! If you’ve been following our blog for a while, I’m sure you’ve heard us mention Tuckernuck when it comes to timeless, preppy pieces. From a pretty party dress, a crisp tailored shirt, or comfortable pair of jeans, they pretty much have everything I’m looking for.

Since picking up this jacket a month ago, I’ve been wearing it non-stop. I even packed it with me to High Point Market and, with all the rain we experienced, I’m so glad I did! This jacket is an investment piece, but, in my opinion, it’s completely worth it. Barbour has been a go-to source of mine for weatherproof jackets because of how well they stand up and their incredible attention to detail (how cute is that plaid lining?!). Lately, I’ve been pairing it with a simple shirt or sweater and love how it has been to layer over my outfits.

Looking to update a few items in your wardrobe this Spring? I’ve linked a few of my current favorite pieces below!
