Winnetka Project Reveal

Today we are so excited to kick off 2020 by revealing our Winnetka project! For those who are not familiar with this area, Winnetka is an incredibly dreamy suburb half an hour outside of Chicago and is now home to one of our favorite projects of 2019.

Our clients and their family moved into this stunning, new construction house with incredible bones. Our job was to design spaces that were beautiful, approachable, and unique to their personalities through complete home furnishings and styling.

Similarly, to us, our clients were predominantly drawn to a traditional style. They longed for their home to feel timeless, mature (but not too sophisticated since they have a bunch of kiddos running around!), and open. In terms of the color palette, they loved cooler, grayer tones but wanted our expert eye to seamlessly mix in warmth and contrast. For us, we find that our best projects are those that are client driven and truly encapsulate their personal style. While we obviously love to be trusted and given free reign to create – our clients opinions and thoughts are what shape our designs and ultimately lead to a home that is exactly and perfectly tailored to them. Which, isn’t that the goal of every interior designer?

We had an absolute blast working on this project and we can’t wait to hear what you all think! As always, we’d love to hear your feedback or answer your questions so feel free to drop them in the comments below. We’re also doing something a little different in 2020 in terms of sharing sources so make sure to check that out at the bottom of the post.

I love the countertops in the kitchen, can you share what those are?

    • Bria Hammel Interiors January 8, 2020, 11:41 am

Hi Lisa! We came into this project after the construction phase was done so unfortunately, we can't provide the countertop source! However, they are marble! Thanks for following along. :)

Stunning. Wonderful job of making a home so beautiful but livable for a family with younger children. Thank you for such beautiful inspiration.

Thank you so much, Lisa! :) We absolutely loved working on this project!

Beautiful! I really appreciate this approach to sharing sources and think it’s good for people to see how many custom items are included in projects by high end full service designers.

Hi Jennifer! Yes, we strongly believe in custom pieces for our clients! Not only can we truly personalize the furnishings to their aesthetic/lifestyle but it's one of the biggest perks to hiring a designer in general! Thank you so much for your kind words and for following along. :)

I would luv to know the soft blue wall colour used in great room and kitchen area. Is it the same ? If you are unable to confirm can you suggest some similar colours that will give similar results. Thanks

Hi Sophia! It's Perspective by Benjamin Moore. Hope this helps :)

Are you able to share the paint color of the cabinets ? If not, are they a white or more of a cream? Most beautiful color I have ever seen !
