Well… it’s already been a half of a year. What the heck. Time can slow down anytime now!
We had a great month with the little man. This was probably our most challenging month so far, but also the most fun. Louie went through what we called a “fussy age” which consisted of 3 weeks of fussing when he was tired, fighting us on going to sleep, not loving the car seat anymore, and well that is pretty much it. But for us that was a lot compared to his oh so laid back self. The good news is, 1 week before he hit 6 months, it went away. He still doesn’t love getting into the car seat, but give him his paci and he is just fine. He has gotten so smart this month! Watching a baby develop different skills is the most fascinating thing in the whole world. Details to follow…
Here are some pics from the past busy month with our little boy…
Louie’s 6 Month Stats:
Weight: 18 lbs. 2 oz. (61% percentile)
Height: 29″ (98% percentile)
Clothes: He is wearing all 6-12 month clothing, which once washed isn’t too big on him. If a line makes 9 month clothing it fits perfect on him. One piece outfits are almost always too short on him.
Diapers: Still in size 3, thank goodness! Hope he stays here for a while!
Food: He eats cereal and a fruit in the mornings. 8 oz bottles every 3 hours, and at night he will eat a vegetable before he has his bottle. Just got the all clear from the Dr. to move up to 2nd foods and see how he handles it!
Sleep: He’s a great sleeper. Every once in a while he wakes up in the middle night crying, but 10-30 seconds later he is back asleep. So weird. He normally wakes up around 6-6:30 and plays in his crib for a half hour or so, then falls back asleep until 7:30-8.
New Developments: Teeth haven’t broken through yet, although they are right on the surface. Doesn’t seem to be bothering him as much lately. His biggest development is learning how to wave. We are in the early stages, but he just started looking at his hand and watching himself do it, and now if you wave to him, then hold his arm he will wave his hand. So cute! And crazy to watch him learn! He is doing really well with putting his paci back in. He knows now how to put the right end in and will switch hands to make it happen. He is also sitting up on his own. Just started the past week or so, and I still don’t trust him to leave him by himself while sitting but he is getting so strong and loves to sit up straight.
Likes: We gave him one of his Christmas presents early this year. It’s the anywhere chair from pottery barn in the fur. He sits and pets it, so funny! He also loves looking at the Christmas tree. He’s been spending lots of time with his cousins and loves all the attention from all the girls 😉
So amazed by Louie every day, and feel so blessed to have such a good baby! Love him to pieces.
