Two reveals in one week? Sounds pretty great to me! Today’s reveal I’m especially excited about because it’s a space from my own home – our staircase!
Over the past few months, we’ve been slowly making changes to our home (see guest bedroom reveal here) which included our staircase as well. Because our main floor is so open, our staircase can be seen from pretty much every room. So, it was important to me that it had just as much attention to detail and beauty as every other space (i.e the living room, foyer, etc.).
In my opinion, one of the easiest ways to add character to a space, without a complete overhaul, is millwork! It’s always amazing to me how big of a transformation it can make and how it can give your home a custom, personalized feel. Whether you draw it in to your home plans from the very beginning or add it later on (like we did here!), I’m a huge supporter of setting aside a portion of your budget to be dedicated to millwork.
The process for updating our staircase couldn’t have been easier. We were incredibly lucky to partner with Metrie, a brand we’ve used for our clients projects and absolutely adore, to bring our vision to life and they did just that. Truly, the only difficult part was deciding exactly what I wanted to do! Metrie offers such an extensive selection of options that the possibilities were endless. However, we ultimately went with a stunning, shiplap chair rail!
This space in my home brings me such joy and I couldn’t be more excited with the finished look. Have any questions? Feel free to drop them in the comments below!

Hi Mary! It's Linen White by Benjamin Moore. :)
Gorgeous!! I would love to purchase their prefinished shiplap but am having trouble finding where to buy it. Could you please share where you buy their products?
