My (Updated!) Go-To Travel Accessories

Since I travel so often, it’s probably no surprise to hear that I’ve got my packing down to a science. What used to cause me stress and anxiety, now takes me less than an hour. But, it wasn’t always this way. After years and years of traveling for work and pleasure, I’ve done quite a bit of trial and error when it comes to what I pack.

While it always slightly changes depending on the climate, itinerary, or occasion I’m traveling to/for, I have a roundup of pieces I almost always bring with me no matter where I’m going. So, what’s in my suitcase? Let’s get into it!

Clothing

Packable Hat: Bad hair day? No problem. I always pack a hat for this reason and this straw one is perfectly unstructured so you don’t have to be too careful when packing it up.

Alpaca Cape: A beautiful, luxurious cape can be taken from day to night. Throw it over a t-shirt and jeans or a black dress and you have the perfect, cozy addition to any outfit.

Statement Earrings: I’m a sucker for a statement earring and these from Vivian Drew are my current favorite. I love how it can easily jazz up a simple outfit and make you feel put together instantly.

Beauty

Folding Blowdryer or Compact Straightener: I invested in the hair styling tools I use on an everyday basis in travel sizes. That way, I know I’ll be able to get ready in the same amount of time and with the same ease as I do when I’m at home. I love these T3 pieces!

Your Daily Beauty Products in Minis: No more using the hotel shampoo and conditioner! While some hotels provide luxurious products, most are lacking. I love buying minis of my go-to beauty products (i.e. Texturizing Spray, Rollerball Perfume, Nightly Serum) so that my hair and skincare routine won’t be disrupted when I’m on the go.

Eye Patches and Daily Vitamins: To stay looking bright and refreshed, these two products are a godsend. I love putting the eye patches in the mini fridge in my hotel room before I go to bed and putting them on in the morning for a cool, awakening treat. And, these vitamins might have a funny name but they sure aren’t joking around when it comes to how great they work!
