Bria’s Italy Travel Guide

Seven wonderful days surrounded by the beautiful Italian culture & landscape – Bria gives us a peek into her trip to Italy.

Bria recently returned from a 10 day trip through the beautiful countryside and city streets of Italy and as you can imagine, we had a little “fomo” back in the office! Being one of the most stylish and organized travelers we know, we asked Bria to share a few highlights from her trip along with her packing/travel tips and tricks. Even better? Bria created the most amazing, in-depth travel itinerary for their 7 day trip and we’re giving exclusive access to the full itinerary to our e-mail subscribers! Whether you’re looking to plan a trip to Italy or not, we have a feeling you might just be looking into flights after reading through this guide 😉 Without further adieu, let’s get to the goods.

Why Italy?

“I had known for a while that I wanted to plan a special trip for my 40th birthday – I just didn’t know where I wanted to go. As we got closer to the year, I knew I wanted to go somewhere I hadn’t been before, but also somewhere I knew I would love. Italy has been on my list for a long time and I had never made it there – so I decided it was the perfect place to go and spend time with family and friends!”

How did you decide on the location?

“When looking at the different locations in Italy, I wanted a beautiful landscape, somewhere that we could see a lot in one trip, but also stay in one place. Tuscany was the perfect location, and we were going at the perfect time to see all the beautiful flowers blooming.”

What did you love most about Tuscany?

“I have been to a lot of places in the world, but northern Tuscany, near Florence, is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever seen. We would look outside our villa windows and it would look like you were staring at a piece of artwork. Pictures don’t do it justice!”

Any travel tips?

“My biggest tip for planning a trip to Italy is try to find a location to call home for the week, and then plan day trips with a private driver. It’s so much easier to take in the scenery and get plenty of rest from the days! And you can drink as much wine and eat as much pizza as you want ;)”

What did you pack for the trip?

“I packed a lot of dresses and comfortable shoes. I knew I wanted to feel put together and comfortable, and also knew that we would be going from day trips exploring a city right to a nice dinner, and wanted to feel dressed appropriately for both! I also brought our Brooke & Lou cooler bag to keep snacks (and wine) chilled while we were out on our day trips, and I packed this incredible tote for carrying all the antiques I bought on our trip! It is massive, but light, and super durable to carry all the heavy things.”
